The Retreat

Set amidst the quiet hills of Mahabaleshwar, this 3-day retreat is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with nature and return to yourself. Through traditional and holistic yoga practices, mindful breathing, reflective sharing circles and nature walks along mist-kissed paths, you begin the year feeling spacious, grounded and aligned with your true direction.

For the past ten years, Yoga Kiran has been lovingly weaving retreats across India : intimate, heartfelt journeys that weaves yogic wisdom with modern living. The retreat is not (just) about practicing āsana (physical postures) alone, but about expanding our awareness of the body, mind, lifestyle and understanding patterns that restricts us from living fully.

Over the last decade, these retreats have become sacred spaces for inner awakening, deep healing and gentle transformation.

This New Year retreat carries that same essence. Thoughtfully crafted, gently held and rooted in years of holding space for people to prioritise their physical and mental well being. You leave not just refreshed, but with tangible takeaways that support real change.

Yoga Kiran’s heart-centred experiences remind us that yoga is not something that begins and ends on the mat; it is a way of being that brings us closer to our breath in every moment of our lives. It teaches us how to meet life with samatvam (equanimity), how to move through our many roles with viveka (discernment), and how to walk the world with softness, strength and truth.

This gathering offers a space where you exhale, soften and step into the new year with clarity, presence and an expanded understanding of what yoga truly means.

Nidhi Singh
Founder, Yoga Kiran

Retreat Facilitator

Nidhi was born in the sacred city of Varanasi and has been a lifelong student and teacher of traditional Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga. She is the founder of Yoga Kiran, an effort that brings ancient yogic wisdom into modern life in a way that feels gentle, grounded, and meaningful. For over ten years, she has led retreats, workshops, and online programs that combine movement, breath, meditation, and yoga philosophy. Her approach is holistic : helping people improve their health and manage or even reverse chronic conditions through simple changes in lifestyle, sleep, nutrition, and emotional wellbeing.

The Venue

The Mahabaleshwar Club – A Timeless Colonial Haven

Founded in 1881 by a few British Army officers, The Mahabaleshwar Club is one of India’s oldest surviving heritage clubs, a rare gem that has preserved its charm for over 130 years. The Club was once a retreat for officers seeking rest in the serene heights of the Western Ghats. Today, its elegant grill gates open into a world where time seems to slow down.

The lovingly tended flowerbeds, the old trees offering generous shade, the cool mountain air and the unmarred blue skies create an atmosphere of pure stillness.

It is the kind of place where you can read under an ancient tree, stretch out on a hammock, or simply listen to the wind moving through the hills – the perfect backdrop for inner work, reflection and healing.
