“I have more confidence & better balance!”
The journey has been admirable so far. Prior to this, I didn’t have any experience in Yoga. Since August 2020, when I started, I have gotten more confident with body balance and decision making in general. I have lost weight but gained muscle and flexibility. Some of my ailments like stiff neck problem, got minimized. My sleeping patterns, got tuned with sunrise and has gradually become a habit. In each week, we work out on different types of yoga and in different ways, e.g. Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga yoga, yin and yang and some workouts just to build the core strength or concentrated on alignment, so that the body gets break from auto-pilot mode and be aware of the process. Chanting in the beginning and Yoga Nidra at the end of each session gives me the time, to pacify the mind, and energize the body. I feel all the sessions are well balanced and thought-out. Regularly I have observed that the sessions are quite simpler in the first week of each month for newcomers and towards the 4th week relatively challenging with lots of dynamism. Among all yogic breathing techniques Ujjayi breathing has become a part of my life. When ever I loose concentration I go back to this technique to regain my concentration. Lastly I would add on Nidhi’s commitment, which alone is a convincing and inspirational factor to continue the journey. She is an excellent instructor, gracious performer, and knowledgeable enough to nurture her students across different ages, encouraging them to experiment, with mindfulness. I feel grateful that I have come across Nidhi’s yoga sessions during adverse times. It served as an eye-opener, giving me time to quench my thirst and integrate yoga in my life.
